Ngāti Hine Health Trust focuses on supporting hapū māmā, mātua taiohi, and their tamariki by providing them with tools and skills to reach their potential, improve their well-being, and strengthen their whānau. The trust also engages in individual and systemic advocacy to support whānau. Additionally, Ngāti Hine Health Trust encourages mātua taiohi and hapū māmā to reconnect with their hapū, whenua, and whakapapa as it has a positive impact on their well-being. The trust aims to dismantle the colonial stigma surrounding teen mothers, which is often used to victimize and sideline them as an economic problem. Their kaupapa is to help mātua taiohi enact their rangatiratanga.
